Privacy at Quietly Useful Apps

This website collects nothing about you.

This page covers the quietlyusefulapps.com website itself. CareBoard and Know Your Limit are separate products on their own sites; CareBoard's own privacy policy is linked below.

Who we are

The people behind the site

Quietly Useful Apps is the trading name of Chris Boyle, based in Scotland, United Kingdom. For anything on this page, contact support@quietlyusefulapps.com.

This website

No cookies, no analytics, no tracking

quietlyusefulapps.com is a static information site. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics or tracking of any kind, loads no third-party fonts or scripts, and has no forms or sign-ups. There is no account to create and nothing to opt out of, because nothing is collected.

The site is hosted by Netlify. As with any web host, Netlify's servers process the technical details of each request — such as the IP address it came from, the page asked for and the browser used — in order to deliver the page and keep the service secure and available. We do not build analytics, profiles or reports on top of that, and we do not receive it as a usable record of who visited.

If you email us

What happens to your message

The support mailbox is provided by Zoho Mail (EU). If you write to us, we hold your email address and whatever you put in your message so we can reply and keep a record of the exchange. We keep it for as long as the enquiry needs, and no longer than is useful. We do not add you to a mailing list and we do not pass your details to anyone else for marketing.

Our apps

CareBoard has its own policy

Links on this site to CareBoard and Know Your Limit take you to separate sites, and this page does not cover them. CareBoard, which handles personal and care information, has its own detailed privacy policy: Read the CareBoard privacy policy.

Your rights

What you can ask for

Under UK data protection law you can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, ask for a copy, or object to how it is used. In practice, for this website that means any email correspondence you have had with us. Email support@quietlyusefulapps.com and we will answer.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

Keeping this page honest

If this site ever starts collecting anything — analytics, a contact form, anything at all — this page will be updated before that happens, and the date below will change.
